torino
Hi there, quite new to the 350z, needed new front discs, so bought some off evilbay! They were confirmed as being for the Brembo brake set up, and although they are the correct diameter and stud pattern, the thickness is only just over 20mm!! Anyone know what these are for? Am I right in thinking the JDM brembo's should be 324mm dia and 30mm thick? Thanks in advance....
rothers2901
FRONT DISC BRAKE (CLZ25VD TYPE) Non Brembo Standard thickness : 24.0 mm (0.945 in) 294mm diameter Wear limit : 22.0 mm (0.866 in) Maximum uneven wear (measured at 8 positions) : 0.015 mm (0.0006 in) or less FRONT DISC BRAKE (OPB27VA TYPE) Brembo Standard Standard thickness : 30.0 mm (1.181 in) 324mm diameter Wear limit : 28.4 mm (1.118 in) Maximum uneven wear (measured at 8 positions) : 0.015 mm (0.0006 in) or less So if the disc have thickness of a little over 20mm then there are neither of the above. Why not buy from one of the many traders on the forum? you are sure to get the correct parts. Don't try and save a few pound when the things you are buying are there to keep you on the road. There is a great deal on at the moment http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/84325-introducing-the-new-dba-t2-disc-for-350z-199-per-pair/ Tyres + Brakes = Spend your money. Ewen@Clark Motorsport
Good info there Martin If the OP is looking for a more wallet friendly setup then the Pagids we sell are a very popular choice http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/79142-pagid-brembo-discs-for-350z-230-for-front-and-rear-delivered/
torino
Yeah, definitely the way to go, getting sick of eBay traders. Still doesn't answer what the discs are for though, strange one that! Wonder if they're for a different Nissan!
torino
Think the discs I have are 322mm x 22mm thick with Nissan 5 stud pattern. They weren't the correct discs for the boxes as the part no. on the box should be correct!
torino
Well, not to worry, seller returned my money without even a quibble, even paid the return postage, still no idea what the disc were meant to be for! Now to get some from somewhere I can trust!!
