2006 Sentra SE-R Spec V owner

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone my Name is John and I was made aware of the site by meeting Ken and Will (Two members of this forum) at Abbey motorsports, while I was picking my car up after getting an Up Rev tune on Abbeys Dyna Pack. I own a 2006 Sentra SE-R Spec V, which is similar to the N16 Almeras here in the UK. It has a QR25DE engine and a 6 speed transmission with a helical LSD. Mine is slightly modified with BC coilovers and a bunch of 2J racing (A small shop that specializes in Sentra Spec V's stateside) suspension parts, an 07 QR25DE intake manifold and a Nismo header. Not many of these cars in the UK so it is a fun ride over here!

Thanks for the kind welcome! Yes the Sentra does have a slightly longer wheelbase than the Almera. I have been a Nissan fan ever since owning a 92 B13 Sentra SE-R, I would love to add a Z to my list of Nissans owned! But I am having fun with the Spec V. My next step with the car is to find an R34 GT-R or S15 Steering wheel and a Set Of R34 GT-R Seats for it.

Hey Ken, nice to see you on the forum, I am itchin to get the spec V on the track after my bump in power! B15 Sentras came with 3 engines availible, SR20DE in the early SE 2.0's, QG18DE in most GXE, 1.8S and the QR25DE in the 2.5 limited edition, SE-R(5 speed or 4 speed auto) and SE-R Spec V(6 Speed w/hlsd optional w/ brembo brakes). Sentra SE-R Spec V's are a U.S, Canadian and Mexican car (Built in Mexico).

Popular mods to the sentra are turbo charging the QR25DE with a T3/T4 hybrid turbo which makes about 300HP staying N/A and stuggling to make over 200WHP (like me!) or doing a VQ35DE swap out of a Maxima or Alitima (the 6 speed in the Spec V is the base manual transmission for these cars and is a very strong transmission). figuring out the wiring harness with a VQ35DE swap is the hardest part! Here are some video's to show some modified versions of Sentras on track. 2J racings VQ35DE Sentra is a beast...
