tomdotc
About 3 weeks back I had my front discs and pads changed. Went for black diamond 6 groove discs and brembo pads. I don't travel far on my daily commute but have been gradually bedding them in. The issue I'm having now is that when I'm braking at about 80-90mph, the car almost slides/sways left to right and right to left. At first I thought it was because I was braking too hard but it happened again and am starting to think something is wrong. Not sure if anyone else has had this before and I am after a bit of advice or people opinion on the matter. Almeida1234
Check all the wheel nuts are correctly tightened. Retrace your steps, did you put the metal flip bracket right way round after the pads? Edited April 28, 2014 by Almeida1234
brillomaster
hmmm no harm in checking the obvious things, wheel nuts done up tight, tyre pressures and tracking. after that, have a look at the discs and see if the pads are making full contact across the entire disc, might help to see if a caliper is sticking or something. M13KYF
when bedding in you dont want to be too gentle. Try a proper bedding in procedure and see if that helps. There is a how to here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/18649-how-to-proper-brake-in-procedure/page__hl__bedding#entry838108
