LordSQra
Hi What you think about tyre paint pen, is it lame or cool ? Has anyone used it ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PERMANENT-WATERPROOF-CAR-TYRE-TIRE-METAL-PAINT-PEN-MARKER-ALL-COLORS-BRAND-NEW-/400585374864?pt=UK_Crafts_DrawingSupplies_EH&var=&hash=item5d44bfbc90
oVerboost
On the right car it can look okay, but not a zed IMO. Rat look old cars etc pull it off, the zeds shape is too modern.
Desey
not on a Zed unless you have a dirty amount of race mods
Briggsybriggs1
I was thinking about getting one but it only works on a car with low profile tyres I think and with a good brand as well ,,,cool if you ask me I'm going to buy one just to show yul how cool they are now :-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

StevoD
Yes it can look awesome, needs some supporting body mods to pull it off tho i cant find the image with the 350z with white text so these will do looks awesome, Can tell the OEM heads and painted battery cover brigade will hate these

Sam Mcgoo
I've been tempted for quite a while to do this as I think it could look really cool in the right car..... Not sure mines the right car though.. Lol. I think it'd really suit my wheels, but maybe not the car. The other thing is it will depend on the tyre as well. Bridgestone will look cool, toyo etc, but my recent addition of mpss I don't think it would work so well. FYI I've also read that a tile grout pen actually lasts longer than the paint pens. 14N
....painted battery cover brigade will hate these I've been labelled! Not a fan of it myself. I remember painstakingly painting the 'Diablo Corsa' on my motorbike tyres in the early 90's. But I guess on the right car it could look ok. coldel
I have to admit I have had a thought once or twice how this would look on my white Skyline! Not my car but might work?
cmck13
Someone tried It on here about 3 to 4 year ago (lucky if you find it), the general consensus was it didn't work on the Z especially due to style etc and because it wears and doesn't bind too well on rubber. iLott
I think it looks good just haven't gathered the courage to try it out yet
coldel
Looks stunning on the first pic, not so sure on the second
rabbitstew
I use these on my motorbikes, look pretty cool on them, but on cars its very much 1970`s.... I think on 4x4s you can pull it off, but not on sports cars. The other thing is that they do look good for a few weeks, then the white quickly fades and looks more grey so you have to redo them all. After a while you end up with thick paint on the letters which looks a bit bad. Most car accessory shops sell em, so you dont have to get them off the bay. LordSQra
I've still got my old tyres in garage ( free to collect if someone interested ) might try to paint them and see how it looks its just 99p for a pen and it does not have to be only white, yellow looks good or red...cmcsk13 yeah but it was 3-4 years ago, pens my have been improved since that time, I mean ink Edited April 28, 2014 by Damiiian
StevoD
think it comes down to the tyre itself and the size of the sidewall as that would i think change the size of the lettering

coldel
Stick it on and show photos week by week - would love to see if this works as I think it would look good on my Falkens on my R33!
brillomaster
once we finally get some decent matching tyres on our track BMW, I might well go for some tyre paint. why? because racecar, that's why. wouldn't do it on my 350z roadcar though.
