J4YPS
Trying to remove the y pipe... it seems like the bolts are welded to the cat... :/ dont know what to do and this is my daily! I live in kent anyone got any suggestions? Trying all sorts of methods. (Y pipe is off btw!)
SteveRS
If you have a blow torch, try heating up the bolts to see if this will release them, this is what we had to do recently when fitting my ARK hfcs, we couldn't get the old sensors off the old cats but managed to release them after heating them up for 5 minutes or so........ of course be careful when trying to remove the the bolts afterwards because they will be red hot. Darren-B
Cut them off, drill out the studs & fit new bolts, It's quite common on the cats, even had to do it with my 370z with only 6k on the cats. I'd usually offer to help but I'm so busy over the next 6weeks
J4YPS
Ok well we're using a method of heat and drilling.. perseverance I guess? No worries Darren. Hopefully we crack it this weekend!
