Tigerzed
Seen some great guitarists live in my time. Slash Dave Murray Adrian Smith Kirk Hammet James Hetfield Synyster Gates was very special however possibly the best I've seen live is Eddie Van Halen, awesome. That said ask me in 5 minutes and I'll have changed my mind ....... maybe Slash ....... I just can't decide.

La roux Nope, Le Roux was an American 1980's melodic rock band pretty well unknown outside of Louisiana. This is an original song , with a stunning guitar solo at the end. The thing is this sort of band as good as they were IMHO were competing against established rock bands of that era and despite 4 albums never made the breakthrough. I followed The U.S/Canadian and to some extent the British rock scene very closely from the mid 70's to the early 90's when it fizzled out. A great time for music . Solo at 3:40 Pete

NeilMH
As it says favourites, I would say: For musicality - David Gilmour For their energy - Angus Young or Pete Townsend For virtuosity - John Entwistle (I presume bass players are allowed) Hang on...there's a theme here
