Are these discs the right way round?

I fitted these myself last week, bedding them n etc but i feel like its making a scraping noise? are the grooved the rigth way round? or is it still bedding in and just touching the disc still? or have i done something wrong??

It depends on the make of disc and what you use the car for. Have a look at the backplate, you might have bent it a bit so it's touching the disc.

How are your pads? A friend of mine decided to use his pads until they were basically disintegrated.

 

Edit: Which meant they made the worst grinding noise I've heard.

and the blackplate is that flimsy thing behind???

I cut my finger on that flimsy backplate bit when spinning the disk, god knows why I did it.

 

There is no scrapes on the disc anywhere that would indicate a small bit of grit stuck on the pad at all?

Its makes no difference which way the grooves are running (unless specifically stated), it is all to do with the vanes. Some are straight, so it would again make no difference, some are curved so they would need to turn into the direction of rotation.
