pmorg4
The time has come to sell my cherished 350z a lot sooner than I'd expected, as I have just bought myself a 987 Porsche Boxster S. There are many who will argue that the 350z is a better car than the Boxster, but I’m not here to enter that debate as I’ve made my choice and it’s time to move on I will initially list the car on the forum only, to allow any interested parties to register their interest, before moving on to the usual pit full of scammers that is eBay/Autotrader. My 350z is a Kuro Black 2005 model GT with Alzean (burnt orange) interior, 68,000 miles and full service history. It has the usual UK GT car spec, so cruise control , Brembo brakes, Bose stereo, heated seats, HID lights, etc. The car is still in use so the mileage will continue to increase somewhat, although I don’t use it to commute so it shouldn’t move much in the near future. It is HPI clear and has not to my knowledge been involved in any accidents. It has tax until end November 2014, and MOT until February 2015. The Porsche purchase was a bit of an impulse buy, and I was planning on keeping the 350z for some time. I’ve spent a considerable amount on the car over the last 6 months or so bringing everything up to scratch, even though it was in good condition anyway. This includes fitting a full set of discs & pads both front and rear (grooved and dimpled discs with Brembo pads), Rays alloy wheels fully refurbished so they are still absolutely immaculate, and a full set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres fitted. The tyres have 7mm tread all round as shown in the photos below (new tyres have 8mm) so they are almost good as new. During the last year along with the usual service items of synthetic oil and filters, the car has also had the spark plugs replaced, new exhaust flex pipes fitted, and anti-roll bar drop links replaced. I also fitted a set of Gates belts less than 1000 miles ago - you can still see the logos clearly on the belts they’re so new. The car is generally standard, with only some minor changes to the original spec. One change is the uprated brake discs mentioned above, which I had fitted as I wanted to replace all the brakes anyway. Another additional feature is the fitment of a Bluetooth module that is wired into the OEM stereo system, which allows you to play music from a phone through the OEM head unit, use sat nav through the head unit, and make phone calls etc. It has a small button discretely installed on the driver’s side centre console which gives some control to play/pause music, skip tracks, etc. It also contains a microphone for hands free calling. This is connected to the head unit in the same way that the “iPod hack†would be, so you select the Tape input to activate the Bluetooth input. One other modification to the car, which is generally invisible unless you remove panels looking for it, is installation of sound deadening material underneath the boot floor, on the strut brace in the boot, and within the area behind the subwoofer and glovebox. As we all know, the 350z is not a fantastically refined car with regards to road noise, so I spent some money buying large sheets of quality sound deadening material from an acoustic specialist (both heavy bitumen type panels for low frequency and dense foam for higher frequencies), and having it fitted behind the panels. This significantly reduces the tyre noise that comes into the cabin compared with a standard 350z, making it a much nicer place to be on longer journeys and also improving the sound quality when listening to music. It’s not Mercedes level refinement by any means, but you can’t have it all! In my opinion the Black & Alzean colour combination looks fantastic on the 350z. I’m not usually a fan of bright interior colours, but with the black exterior it works really well. When I bought this car I was very happy to have found a black 350z in such good condition (most are silver or grey, and I really don’t like silver on the 350z as it’s rather boring looking IMO - sorry to owners of silver cars!), and the Alzean interior was a bonus. As you can see in the pictures, the interior is in very good condition with only minor wear in the usual places where the seat belt rubs the bolsters. Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves. I’ve tried to take photos from every angle inside and out in good lighting to get the most detail possible. The car is in excellent condition, although it does inevitably have some stone chipping and minor marks on the paint as is inevitable with a car of this age, but nothing that can't be sorted in a few hours with a touch up pen and a machine polish. The car drives very well - exactly as it should. The engine pulls well through the rev range, and the gearbox is tight, smooth and engages all gears easily with no hint of any synchromesh difficulties even when cold. The car comes with three keys - two remote and one non-remote key. The price is £7000, which I think is very fair considering the colour and condition of the car. I’m happy to answer any questions on the car, or accommodate viewings and test drives with appropriate insurance. The car is located in Edinburgh. Please note I won’t entertain any silly offers, as I’m in no hurry to sell and I’m happy to hold on to the car until the right buyer comes along. Bear in mind before contacting me trying to haggle by comparing pricing of “similar†cars that this car is in a desirable colour, and it has nearly new brakes all round, immaculate Rays wheels, and a full set of premium tyres that are barely worn in, so needs absolutely nothing spent on it for the foreseeable future. WhackyWill
Lovely looking Zed, Good Luck with the Sale.
pmorg4
Thanks Will. I'm reluctant to be selling just as I've got everything perfect! Looks like I'll be doing all the same little jobs on the Porsche, as it has Continental tyres that I'm not to keen on so that will be four tyres, nor do I like the brake pedal feel so probably going to be replacing all four sets of pads... Ah the joys of having OCD
pmorg4
I've had some positive interest already, so the car is on hold pending sale I expected it would be a relatively easy sell, but not this easy!

Svothe
Wow this is exactly what I'm after. Colour, interior, spec everything. Just don't have the cash yet. I wish you the best with the sale, you have a truly lovely zed!
Shifty6Speed
Stunning example there pmorg4! However it doesn't have a "Stubby Ariel" fitted and this instantly & significantly de-values it. The best i could offer is 67p and a chocolate digestive GLWTS buddy
pmorg4
Thanks mate. I did consider the stubby aerial but I'm a sucker for the standard look, even when standard is clearly inferior I didn't want to start down the slippery slope, and before long I'd be a paid up member of the Barry Boys' club

mattross1313
Good news on it selling, hope the new owner takes care of it as much as you have. On a tangent, this is probably one of the best for sale adverts I've seen for a while, very clear & good description, plenty of pictures.
