Edd20022
Hi everyone, So i after many months of considering i finally decided to go and trade in my FN2 Type R pick myself up a Zed! Picked it up with 58k on the clock and a full Nissan service history. Sadly its not without its issues, it seems to have a small rattle of the exhaust on the drivers side under the drivers seat, i think that section of the flange has a leak, as when its cold condensation drips out of it (probably the cause of the rattle). Also yesterday the engine management light came on, i hooked it up to my ECU reader and identified it as both cats are below minimum efficiency, so may have to pick up some new Cats before my next MOT. Also hear a little clunk through the steering column going from lock to lock when parking...possible drop links or PS pump...? If anyone has any advice or recommendations of what parts to get, would love to hear them! The previous owner also ripped out (and i mean literally 'ripped') all the Bose equipment, so i am having to replace it all with after market kit, and that was a wiring mess! Other than these fairly minor issues, the car runs and drives great, and i am really loving it! Planning on going to Japfest in May so perhaps i will see some of you there Cheer Edd

GMballistic
Welcome aboard Edd, the Zed looks very cool btw. If you do need to replace the standard Cats then I'd highly recommend you consider some Berks HFC's (High Flow Cats). You can get them from traders on here for probably the best prices around especially if you get them on a group buy. Try looking at the Cougar Store or Tarmac Sportz in the traders section. Also if the exhaust is kaput then maybe you could do the whole lot in one go as I did. Makes such a difference to the sound of the car and as mostly all after market exhausts are stainless steel there is no need to worry about corrosion issues. Edd20022
Thanks for the warm welcome guys! However I feel it may of been warmer if I was a hot young lady......*ahem* In regards to my Cat issue.....got the car up on the ramp and saw it actually has no cats....so CEL mystery solved. Will buy those Berks Cats later in the year. And the rattle does seem to be heat shields just ever so slightly touching the exhaust...mainy on the right side. Any ideas of how to solve this? It's a Nismo exhaust so ideally I want to keep it on the car. Cheers Edd
