wizurd
Because of the great guides and what not we've got on here decided to give it a go and spray paint my throttle body. This is how it looks now while drying. Just gotta wait and see how it looks once it's totally dry and of course to make sure it still works lol. Paddy78
Looking good! The TB's are fairly hardy... I ragged my second hand one around a fair bit and moved the butterfly by hand loads and it still worked after paining with no probs at all (Apart from me trapping the rubber oil filler surround in the plenum). wizurd
Glad to hear it I'd had a look at your throttle body thread as well mate. Seemed doable. Like the shiny white colour. It's not perfect. Even after three coats there's a small patch or two where it seems like the paint isn't sticking. Slightly thin. Will see how it looks once it's been left over night and go from there. Used plastikote metal primer and then their white radiator paint. Saw that graham had used this in the past as well so fingers crossed Cheers. Paddy78
As long as you've done a half decent job it'll look good. You can't really inspect the TB too closely as it is quite a way inside the bay! At least that's what I keep telling myself!
