Grundy
So after Will just displayed a picture of his FRIENDS C5 - I went to autotrader to check out the prices (I know nothing about them, other than the compilation video Graham posted the other day of them spinning out) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201301174961655/sort/default/usedcars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/corvette/page/1/model/c6/postcode/po155tq/radius/1500/advert-type/standard-listing?logcode=ucbnp I personally think it looks awesome! Seats could of been better, and not a huge fan of the 4 exhausts But 2 things come to mind.... I did not know you could get a 7speed box And look at the Dials!! The needle only has to move a few MM to reach 30mph And it goes up to 300+mph....

pmorg4
V8s are awesome. I'd have one if I could get over the LHD thing, but I can't so not for me while I'm in the UK.

Dynamic Turtle
I have to say the stingray looks better in the pics and on video than the flesh - up close the plastic bodywork and alloys look cheap. Not a dealbreaker for many I'm sure but just don't expect german or even japanese levels of workmanship here. Still a handsome looking car though and I'd quite happily pootle around in one.

firemansim
I,ve had three Corvette's, a C3,C4 and C5. Pound for pound performance wise you can't beat them, and what a sound track.

You've had a 350z, so your car choices have been impressive but not too bold - I.e. If you were the boss of a company and pulled into your works car park, I'd imagine you'd turn up in a classy/respectable motor as appose to a motor that would shout 'i'm rich' - For example a Merc AMG C64 as apposed to a Ferrari, Lambo, Big American Muscle. Just the C7 stands out as a in your face car. I'd figured you'd go for a TVR over this. I think I might of waffled on a bit - Another way to look at it, IMO you like cars that have power but don't scream in your face I got power. 350 Russ
So far judging on pics I'm not really a fan. I'll reserve judgment until I see one in the flesh, I preferred the C6

Also, bizz's car will have the engine from a monaro in it, so you'd have the best of both if you went down that route

pmorg4
I wouldn't mind a monaro, might get a shot of one at some point. I've owned two V8s both BMW - a 540i and 840Ci, both 6-speed manual. They are epic sounding cars, nothing quite like it. Still have a soft spot for V8s but there are so few these days that are nice to drive on tight twisty roads, most of them are built for wafting. I'm not really a fan of Corvettes, a bit too all mouth and no trousers for my liking. I know they are making some real supercars these days, I just can't get that image out of my mind. I'd love a monaro though, well.... specifically the 6.2ltr heart inside it's engine bay!
