Face
Hi everyone I've just come back from a drive with my new PopCharger installed Well...............it was a little disappointing Everyone has been banging on about the noise, but for me it sounds more slick and quite from the cockpit, i was expecting GRRR Didn't really sound like what i inspected, think its been built up so much on forums etc i was bit let down. Dont get me wrong, it seems to perform better and from outside the car reving sounds meaty Just cockpit noise didn't make me smile. Dont think i have installed it wrong. Everything is tight and no warning lights or performance issues. Mehhh maybe im just being fussy. I think the Nissan panel filter sounded more aggressive at 4k revs I have a cobra exhaust but not sure which as it came with the car. Any thoughts? does this sound right? Ekona
It makes more difference on a stock exhaust: On an aftermarket exhaust, you'll hear that over any intake noise.
bamdc2
Yeah I got mine with the expectation that it would give a nice intake noise, which it did. I was already happy with the Scorpion exhaust but I do think it pops a little more on overrun after the pop charger went on.
pmorg4
I much prefer induction growl to exhaust noise (which is a bit drone like on the 350, unlike say a V8). I have the standard air box and exhaust but I'd definitely change induction first of the two, these cars sound great with a noisy intake and quiet exhaust. Tarmac@TarmacSportz
It's a marmite mod, I really liked mine, but if you are expecting a massive increase in noise then its not really going to happen. When I had this, a spacer and an exhaust and hfcs it was pretty awesome sounding
