Stew
Ha ha, my Mum just called me to say that she get pulled over for having an illeagal letter style on her reg plates. She said she got a £30 fine and a caution. I thought it was pretty funny, she's 51 and never been pulled or anything before.
martinmac
Will all be criminals soon the way the law is going. Oh, unless its something serious in which case the police are busy sorting out mtoring offences. Good for the public purse though
Stew
Oh indeed it is. Just a warning to anyone with illeagal plates really. Apparently it's help track car being used in terrorism.....
martinmac
Get a lot of explosives in a Zed!!! Talked to a relation op mine who is involved in the camera side of this, he ha heard nothing about a nationwide drive so I think its just another easy excuse to prosecute under the "nanny state" rules. If they wanted to it would be simple to speed limit all cars so they couldnt speed on motorways. Big earner though! I used to work in Aberdeen and the drive up there was a nightmare, shorter than my present commute to London but speed was an issue. Having said that, many years agi I had an Allegre 1750 and the speeding ticket sold the car.!!!
Stew
Between Aberdeen and Dundee there are about 20 cameras. A lot have been taken away too. It's a disgrace that they were all there in the first place. I'm all for cameras near accident black spots but not on straights!
martinmac
Used to drive to work at 5am, roads were empty. except for police cars!!!

xStric9x
Hi guys. Aside from cameras our road systems around towns are in an abismal state If you remember our drive out Martin we took the nice scenic route to the horseshoe pass, well we could of taken you guys through the middle of Wrexham town centre and you would of seen excactly what i mean. We could of left you there and you would never of found your way out. . Moving to a different subject and also if nobody else is up for a drive, how would you and Liz be fixed for showing Bec and i around your neck of the woods as i've never been to the lakes? nixy
what sort of spacing did she have? Mine is obviously quite 'wrong' and i've been slightly nervous about it but up to last weekend had not come across any police. However, I pulled into a garage for fuel on saturday, parked up at the side of the garage to program my sat nav, looked up and there's 2 traffic cars parked right in front of me with the coppers stood talking at the side of them. They looked at the car, looked at me and just gave me a sort of knowing 'tut tut' type look and a shake of the head. I was terrified to move off as I knew how much worse the back one was spaced so I just sat and played it cool for a while. Anyway, they left me alone so up to press its: Nixy 1 - Police 0. Only a matter of time though I think!
Stew
She had a different letter style. The spacing was standard. I'd leave until you get caught nixy. No point in changing them if there is no need to!
nixy
yeah that's what I'm going to do but if I have to my back one will look rubbish as the N11 will be at the top and XYD at the bottom.
