RobPhoboS
Hey guys, I bought a pair of these ramps from Halfords (actually very good), so that I can get my jack underneath the car properly: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_201901_langId_-1_categoryId_165599 I was just wondering about the rear, should I reverse onto them, or drive forwards as you would for the front ? I guess it may not matter at all but thought I'd ask
ChrisS
You've answered your own question. All depends on 'space' I'd say. (and of course they fit under the sill)
The Chubby Ninja
do they fit under the car without lifting it? if they do it wont really matter but id just reverse onto them as its easier
Daryl
To be honest, you shouldnt need them at the back, even with the front up on stands, i can get the jack under the rear diff jacking point
RobPhoboS
Thanks guys, once I get back in I'll be doing the front discs/pads first of all, then onto the rear. Hopefully I can do it without the ramp, save a little bit more clutch (ah I've not tried the rear once the car is on the stands yet!) Jp606
Unless you are lowered by a massive amount, a jack will fit under the rear of the car without it up on stands.
RobPhoboS
Totally stock (atm)
RobPhoboS
Well I reversed onto the ramps, and it worked out perfectly The trouble is the Sealey jack that I have is a little on the short side (so when it wasn't up on the ramps I wouldn't be able to pump the jack up as the handle hits the Scorpion exhaust)
