LRF4N
Yep they're different stages of a detail you don't have to stick to a particular brand Find what works best for you and what smells nice

samsniss350z
Totally agree with LRF4N and Briggsy, there's absolutely no problem using different products as long as you use them in the right order and understand that your shine comes from your polish and not your wax. Same as a really well prepped and painted base coat is going to look better with a half decent clear coat as opposed to a poorly prepped and painted base coat that is hopefully going to be rejuvenated by a thick top coat. Not the best analogy but you get the idea.
Ricey
Just remember; polish corrects wax protects Get some poorboys blackhole glaze to put on before the wax and you'll reet mess your pants
Paddy78
Agreed, the blackhole glaze is fantastic... worthy of a double post!

LRF4N
I alternate between harder waxes and liquid waxes. Liquids give a glossy shine, pastes last longer
pmorg4
I like the look of wax, but can I add something like AG Extra Gloss Protection to get some extra surface shine? I know it doesn't last anywhere near as long as the wax, but I'm not too bothered about that.
ilogikal1
Yes, so long as you use EGP before the wax. Pretty much any wax will sit nicely on top of EGP. If it's gloss you're after, a proper deep, thorough polish will give better results than EGP though.
pmorg4
Thanks. The wax is already on, so maybe I'll try that before the next time I need to reapply the wax
