Grundy
**Megan Racing Carbon Fibre Wing** So, 1st of all, a Massive thank you to Keyser and Buster, legends! After some hard work, donuts and smokes, they accomplished the awesomeness! I'll write up in more detail tomorrow on my build thread, but for all you picture whores - I'll get better snaps in daylight tomorrow/weekend. KyleR
Looking forward to some daylight photos Think i'd be taking the white spongey bits off the feet though, I don't really want to see them, but not gonna make any decisions on the OEM spoiler until I see it in the light
BulletMagnet
It's certainly one way of avoiding holes and it don't look too bad actually
The Bounty Bar Kid
It's certainly one way of avoiding holes and it don't look too bad actually Do you mean in reference to KyleR's comment? It's just that they have drilled it into the boot lid (6th and 7th photo). Which confuses me more as to why they did keep the white spongy materials on the feet. Keyser
Well that was a fun night OK just so you know it's not the easiest thing to fit. The idea is you fit the mounting tape (white spongy stuff) then you drill through the bolts then go through the boot and the "foot" then into the leg of the wing and the whole lot squeezes down. The problem - The legs are so wide they sit on the outer edges of the boot on top of the curve at the outer edge, there is no angle adjustment in the legs so when the wing is fitted it tries to pull the feet level. As the feet are screwed on the center line it does move - if you remove the tape it would look better but it would also leave a gap on the outside edge and no doubt mark the paint. The way I see it is you either have someone professionally bend the legs - could be problematic as they may well be cast aluminum so may crack - you have the feet machined to allow for the angle required or my option would be to fiber glass over the joint, filler blend and paint them. Either way something needs doing to make them a "perfect fit" I have to admit as BGW's go it is a nice one, we did compare it to mine and mine is just as big

Grundy
Day Light Pictures - Okay, so last night, it wasn't a 5 minute Job It isn't just a case of - Place Wing on top of boot, Drill Holes - Job done....I'll go into more depth on my build thread later. As for the wiper blade, I'm not fussed with it on, and also Chris and Bob did all the work, think the wiper was the least of the worries last night There was a full service and Plen Spacer fitted last night, Started at 5:30ish - Finished at 10. As for the OEM lip, undecided at the moment. Either way the wing is in the only place it can go, It doesn't look terrible with the lip on, but with the boot design underneath, it may make the wing look too far forward with it off, will wait for someone else to fit and remove and see how it is.
Humpy
Nice one chaps, not my cuppa but fair do's for trying it! What do you think of it then Mr Grundy? That spoiler certainly stands out. Have you considered painting door handles and maybe wrap the roof black to blend it all in more?
Humpy
You got pulled over by the cops already for having a BGW? Got anything planned for the front of the car? Edit for 3rd time - That wing just looks fecking huge Edited March 20, 2014 by Humpy

pjf1985
I like it, looks awesome. Think personally I would have removed the OEM lip spoiler first and place it a bit further back where the OEM was though. Still looks ace either way
