Scully
Last week Roscoe and I went for a little drive and ended up at MK Nissan, not for and maintenance, just for a poke around anything interesting and for a price check for a broken part Roscoe has. Well the car park was full of Qashqui's and Juke's, with a few Note's and Micra's. We thought "the good stuff must be in the show room". How wrong were we! Just more Juke's and Qashqui's! Nothing that remotely resembled a Zed or GTR. I thought there would be at least one! None the less we went out back to the parts counter, the part in question, the small black splitter at the bottom of standard bumpers, that screws into the under tray. This is where the game started, the assistant/mechanic obviously know what Nissan prices are like so he laughed and said, "take a guess... Excluding VAT". Roscoe said £60 and I £100 thinking this was way over. WRONG. It's was something in the region of £147 excl. tax! He even said you don't want to buy that, "go and take a look on the forecourt and see if any of the Micra or Note ones are the same" Feeling like this whole place was a joke, I cheekily asked, "is this a Qashqui and Juke specialist?" "It's just what everyone wants" So after a bit of revving in the car park of our Zed's, 1 cat back cobra & 1 HFC's, we made our way out for another drive. Coming across the Nissan Technology Centre in Cranfield. We pulled up for a bit and by this time it must have been clocking off time, as Juke after Juke after Juke after Qashqui after Juke left the Tech Centre! I suppose it was a long shot to get a glimpse of the 350z GT-S they built there, that's even if it is still there... Who knows?? All in all some good drives, a Juke showroom and a Juke Technology Centre *Juke aka Nissan
brillomaster
think of it this way - if it weren't for all the Jukes and Cashcows and Micras that Nissan sells, there wouldn't be the funds to develop a 370z or a GTR... equally, you have to thank the buyers of small economical cars, since they'll bring the fleet CO2 emissions average down so that Nissan can continue to make gas guzzling sports cars
Desey
yeah i went to the nissan dealer in northampton. Not one Zed!!! also, so weird, but went there to get some parts, a gasket and a sump, and it would of come to £147 (£45 for a damn tiny gasket!) but then the parts guy looked me in the eyes, for an extended period of time, and said 'lets call it £100' i was like errrrrr ok thanks but stop looking at me he then told me to buy other parts on eBay or get aftermarket ones because they would be cheaper and better all in all a strange experience

Jp606
Think you have to go to the HPCs to see any good cars.
Scully
Yeah the one by junction 1 on the A1 has a Nismo GTR in the window, I always slow down and look when I'm driving past
samsniss350z
The Nissan dealer in Warwick said pretty much what JP606 said as there were no 350's/370's their either. It seems that they all go to the Nissan High Performance Centres
R34Nigel
I went into the same dealer when I was looking for my 370z. I went into the showroom asked the salesman if they had any Z's. I was met with a blank expression and then he told me that they didn't do sports cars :)
Scully
It is a shame that they don't even have a poster or anything, the parts guy told me they might see a Zed once a month if they are lucky and that's for maintenance or problems.
