holtehero
Washed the car today and it doesn't look bad though the front bumper still has some flys on it Is there a good product for pre treating the front bumper, so the flys and bugs come off easier
Stew
There are fly and bug removers made by quality manufacturers. I just give it a scrub with the old washmitt!

Chris`I
Wet kictchen roll on it for a while. Then it should come off easy. Do that with the bike all the time. Soaks the flies nicely so they are easy to remove. Other alternatives are scrubbing more, or something like Megs Intensive Bug and Tar Remover. That takes the wax off though. Which is another point. If its nicely waxed in the first place they tend to come off nice and easy.

dnaxton
Thanks for the replies, haven't had the weather or time to give it a proper wax yet and want to make sure when i do the car is as clean as possible. First wash the car with a good quality shampoo using a wash mitt or a detailing sponge. Then remove the rest of the paints contaminates (Including dead flys) with a claybar and some clay lube. Strong chemicals is not the way to go......... Regards Dave

sl114
Rinse the car first with luke warm water, then wash with a nice mitt and car soap, then dry, then claybar, then polish, then wax
