SiriusProjects
Hi All, Got a question about the speakers in my Zed. I do like the Bose System, but was wondering if it's possible to buy some newer Bose speakers and basically just do a straight swap out with the old ones. Would that be possible? Cheers. Rocky4510
I replaced my door speakers with some Vibe door speakers this weekend just gone. I dont know much about wireing but it was very easy to swap over, also i cant believe how flimsy and poor the bose speakers actually are! Even the sub is quite pathetic lol, definatly going to be changing that asap aslong with the rest of the bose speakers
buster
the speakers are cheap clarion ones along with the head unit...the sub and amp are the only bose items i believe.
Rocky4510
Ohh, that makes a sence! I was under the impression that all the speakers were bose
SiriusProjects
Thanks for the info. If I could find the same size speakers for the front, rear and sub woofer, is it distinctly possible that I could simply swap the current ones out without having to do any additional work? A straightforward replacement basically.
BulletMagnet
if it is to work with the current Bose amp, then they need to be of a specific Ohm rating (can't recall right now), there are Infinity Kappa speakers that fit the bill and are a direct swap out with no additional parts needed (apart from speaker rings maybe if you choose not to cut up the old speakers)
