gstraw
Hey Apologies for not posting in the suspension forum but I thought in the general discussion it will get more exposure. So a lot of people have lowered and spaced their cars (mostly using eibach springs and spacers) Now I'm interested to know how many of you have had to get camber kits or did people not bother getting their camber within spec? I'm planning on getting the car lowered and spacer in 25mm spacers. I want to get the camber within spec. Has anyone lowered their car and managed to get the camber within spec? Also I noticed there are many kits available such as just the bolts or what looks like an arm. What ones have people installed? If I can just get the bolts and get back within spec then great. Many thanks and pictures of the geometry will be much appreciated. Thanks
KyleR
It won't be massively out on the rear but you'll need arms and bolts to get it back in. Arms are for camber and bolts are for toe. Lowering the vehicle adjusts the camber and adjusting the camber adjusts the toe, so both are needed.
gstraw
Yiykes. Okay. I hear people say they can't get the camber back into spec but toe seems okay. So I assume I may only need the camber kit then since there should be plenty of adjustment on the toe? Also what about the front? Will that be off and will I need a kit for front and back? This product seem to adjust camber with just bolts and also toe. +- 3 degrees so why would anyone get the arm if the bolts can do the same/ provide more adjustment? http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=NISSAN&model=370Z&year=2009%2B&level1=SUSPENSION+%26+STABILITY&level2=CAMBER+CORRECTION+KITS&level3=&id_product=5996
Keyser
It depends on the setup you go for and how much you lower it - some have claimed to do a 25mm drop and had enough adjustment in the standard setup to get it "in spec" others have needed the arms and/or bolts to get it back. The front is the hardest if you need a lot of adjustment as the only option is upper arms and they are not cheap. As for arms and bolts - if you only have a small drop bolts OR arms a big drop you may need both. Mine is lowered and I added adjustable everything and they had no problem setting the alignment up, Buster had to get rear camber arms (which came with the bolts) when he first did his (really low) as there was not enough adjustment - that was rear only though the front was OK. BillyZed
As keyser says it all depends on how low you go. I think factory camber is set between 0.8 - 1.5? (Might be wrong) I lowered mine a lot and ended up with over 4 degrees of camber all round! Had to buy the rear adjustable camber arms to bring it back to 2.2. The fronts had enough adjustment to get back to 2.2. The alignment specialist said there was enough movement in the stock toe adjustment to get it back in spec
gstraw
Thanks for the replies. It's starting to make sense! I'm gonna be lowering on eibach lowering springs (eibach pro kit) http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_19&products_id=59 This is 25mm front and 20mm rear. I'm interested to hear from people who have this setup. I'm not sure how much is 'lowered a lot' Thanks
Ebized
Not sure if the same applies with 370's noting some of the posts ^^^^ relate to 350's. Can't think of anyone for the moment who has done this (on here) on a 370.

PS13Silvia
Got mine aligned using just the OEM points, no change in arms or bolts, just did the best that was possible. It's not an ideal set up though, rear camber is still something around -2.5 degrees & toe is -0.5 / -0.6 each side IIRC, fronts I can't remember at all at the moment. As Ultimate Dubs has been on this weekend and I work in Telford seeing loads of stanced stupidly decked VAGs bouncing down the road with extreme wheel & alignment set ups makes mine look factory in comparison
gstraw
Hmm. Does anyone know what the standard bolts can give in terms of max alignment? These eibach bolts give an alignment of +- 3 degrees. So if the stock allow 2 degrees, these are an extra 1 degrees so may be enough to bring back into spec.
