Cake
Hi Chaps, P3 now due with 30,000 miles and quotations are fluctuatiing like made (in the south east in Essex boardering Kent and London). Basically a P3 consists of Engine oil change, new oil filter, new air filters, a brake fluid change and an inspection. I have haggled and nearly fallen off my seat with prices from £400 - £650. Tried Nissan Main dealers, Nissan HPC's and indepenedants. Is this the cost of this service or am i getting mad quotes? Should a P3 also have gear box and diff. oil replaced? Also what would people want to see if buying a car main delaer service history or independent (this may be specialist but only if they know of them when buying)? Grundy
P3 Service supplies are close to £300 alone. Reasonable quotes will be in the £500 region.
RS8055
Sly @ Kaizer Motors will do a P3 for you for £220 as far as I remember. Had mine done 2 weeks ago... I'm pretty sure I am right in saying this and he is located in Rochester, Kent. Does a fantastic job and has a great knowledge of Zeds. Will370z
Yup my quote for P3 service and MOT from Sly is considerably lower than your quote and the quality of his work is excellent.

As far as i can see the P3 service kit is £120 covering Engine oil, new oil filter, sump plug, new air filters and brake fluid. Whats else should be there? For me it really looks to Kaizer motors as you get a specialist and at a much lower cost of inexperianced juniors. Worst place for me so far is one that people stand by (may just be who was on the phone) and they had no knowledge of Z's but i won't name them on here as thats unfair. tomdotc
I went to Kaizer Motors 2 days ago and asked him about costs. From memory this is what he said about my 04 350z. P1 (oil change): £87 or close to P2 (oil change + oil filter?): £150 P3 (oil change, oil filter, air filter, brake fluid and inspection): £220 Believe he also uses Mobil 1 as well. He also does any diagnostics for free. I mentioned a possible faulty gauge to him and he immediately said he'd do it for free. He is in Rochester, Kent. To anyone local, it's near Kingsnorth power station and is on a fairly new estate. Voodoo Vix
Yep, I was there last week for a P1, was £42 as I supplied oil and filter, plus £18 for an engine flush to make sure no gunk in there (not necessary but nice to know its all clean), so can definitely vouch for work and customer service, being female its hard to find garages which don't try and rip you off, so very happy going to Sly. You have a 370 so your costs may be slightly different to the 350's, I'm not sure.

rabbitstew
It's all mileage/age dependant, it can just be a waste of cash to change some items too regular What he said. The P3 is basically identical to the P2 on the 350z. And on top of that you have age/mileage related things, such as brake fluid change, plugs etc. So it all depends on what is due at your mileage really. Cake
Just a standard P3 for me at this stage. I just can't see why it is so much money when the items are totaling £110 for Nissan parts and then £300 labour at least for dealers. Just got off the phone with a HPC and they have no knowledge Of the schedule or what's included and expect to pay this money.

robin c
I am sure I paid £430 all in on a P3 service on my old HR engined Zed from WLMG Shepperton. That included new brake, coolant fluid, oil and replacement filters. Air con gas change and a few other bits and bobs such as wiper blades oh and a beast of a Micra for two days! That's a good price to include coolant as well. I have a dealer at £400 but not a specialist in Z's and I booked an MOT with them through an automated system which isn't actually a valid day or time and they just shrugged their shoulders at me when I arrived - so not great customer service.
