Clearly you can afford to drop your prices then lol ;)

Good answer lol, but it doesn't relate to what business I'm in or run, Ive never bought sports cars to worry about the mpg I'm getting. If it worried me that much then I would buy a 1.0l diesel. I accept that sh1tty miles to the gallon is par for the course with these types of cars so my theory is I just fill it up when empty.

Sorry Ricey - but does that mean you really like it or really hate it?

I'm just checking as one can never be sure with you ;):scare:

I wasnt so keen to be honest!

It just looked so cheap inside and the front end looks like a 308 has been bolted on to a reet sexy looking arse.

Crap sound, iffy fuel economy, bespoke parts and Peugeot in chester......Jesus Christ......I can only assume its where car salesmen go to die.

Im sure we were served by Gil from the Simpsons at one point.

Apart from the gorgeous seats, you're right. It's a total mess inside, but chuck a couple of grand at a good leather upholsterer and replace the awful stereo and I think it would be okay.

But that's what I mean the leather is so nasty it makes you feel like you're in a $10 porno.

I LOVE the double bubble roof though......well at least aesthetically. You belt your heed everytime you get in it and that's the front seat!

I had a chance to sit in one today , they even let me put the child seat in the back! Hmm cosy is the word! In the flesh they are better than on photos.I like it more than I expected. I moved the passenger seat to my leg length to see how much space in the back - well for my 4 year old its enough although she needs to come with me next time.

Its deffo a serious contender subject to a test drive and part ex !

But please Toyota its 2014 FFS silver plastic instead of real alloy!! come on it cant be that much more expensive to make!

I drove a BRZ back in April 2013 and posted this - basically, quite liked it, but imho you'll definitely miss the torque and performance of the Zed. Of course, I only drove the standard stock car - if Tarmac has F/I then the extra poke would make quite a difference

http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/70037-know-thine-enemy-%e2%80%93-i-mean-the-competition/

Initial reactions on driving it - the engine is willing and pulls well, the noise is reasonably satisfying when you accelerate (but not in the full stainless zorst leage on a 350) and she gets you up to - mildly in excess of the 70 limit - in good order. There's not much rear lumbar thrust, but it's only got 200 horses against our own approaching 300 - but the BRZ weighs only 1.2 tons so it's a bit lighter. I couldn't go wild as it was all done just pulling onto the motorway.

Cornering seemed quite nice, went round a couple of roundabouts, at definitely faster than normal sensible driving so 50 plus - and she felt quite nice, pulled well when straightening back up to go back onto the motorway

Anyway - driving wise, pretty good

Internally - you'd only get in the back seats if you were a double amputee. There's no way this is a 4 seater - at most it's a 2+2 and the kids would need to be small as there's no legroom at all in the back unless you pul the front seats right forward. (Maybe a bit churlish to complain about rear seats as a Zed driver - when we haven't got any at all!) Room in the back is very tight too - I sat in just so see and my head was against the rear window - I'm only 5ft 9" so once again, only suitable for small children

Boot was reasonable and the rear seats fold down easily so you have a good area.

I only drove the basic model and it didn't have a sat nav - the mileage computer fuctions were very basic and you only get a single CD slot radio - so this was a bit minimalist, I thought.

My son also had a drive and said he thought it was a bit 'letterbox' on the vision around - I hadn't noticed a problem but that was his comment

Overall - I'm used to the characteristics in a Zed so she's not as quick - but for Mazda MX drivers or something it would be OK, overall feelinig was pretty good and the cabin felt quite nice.

Would I buy one - if I was moving up from a smaller car, it would be OK, but compared to the Zed - I don't think so. Maybe they'll bring out an F/I version in a year or two, and that would (perhaps) be a different matter

Thanks for the review mate appreciate it.

Unfortunately I cant have a 2 seater car - the 370z is my next car but other half has messed up my plans so I have to get a 4 seater -well 2 seater plus 4 year old child in the back. I agree sitting in the back is useless for an adult but then again so was a Celica.

I used to have the revised engine 350z so I know what you mean but as you say its difficult to compare the 2 . I had a later MX5 for a while so I can compare against that but I never warmed to that model it was actually so good to drive it was boring.

So lets see what this feels like. I was almost tempted to get back to an RX8 (the last ones) but I cant go back to a car I used to have so my options are very short! Saloon cars dont do it for me - I am just a fussy git really haha

Anyway
