350z_Dan88
Does anyone know which are the best speakers to go for that are a reasonable price, more so for vocal than bass I have the sub for bass

350z_Dan88
Currently all the standard system, and there seems to be plenty for like 40-50 quid, so around that price 50 quid

I would say for the hassle of swapping them out, £12 each speakers are not worth the effort Sent from the golf club...
350z_Dan88
That's just for the rears, so 50 quid for the two

350z_Dan88
Are the standard ones Bose? I always thought Bose were amazing!! I'm disappointed
OV53
You won't see an improvement for that price, especially only with the standard setup. If you want to see a marked improvement in your highs and mids then as a bare minimum you need an aftermarket headunit and a set of decent components. You're looking at £200 minimum. 350z_Dan88
Sorry I didn't mention head unit, it already has a jvc touch screen DVD player in it, not sure of the watts but it's a decent one
OV53
So are you just wanting to replace the rears? If I was you I'd get components instead. You won't be 100% satisfied with coaxials for the rears with the standard door speakers. Give me a few minutes and I'll give you a list. spursmaddave
Co-axs are fine in the rear, have you already replaced the fronts? Sent from the golf club...
OV53
Yeah Dave they are but he has only got the standard fronts. To be honest, once you get components and have a decent sub you won't need coaxials. The standard rears just need unplugging.

Yeah true, but I preffered my set-up with comps in the front and coax in the rears, had the rears turned down a bit but it gave a fuller sound which I liked. Sent from the golf club... OV53
Anyways if you can stretch another £40 you won't go far wrong with these..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/170898628615?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=m&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95 Or keep your eye on these... http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/360864308567?nav=SEARCH
350z_Dan88
Okay thanks guys I think il go with components, I've heard the jbl components are good, I'm going to do front speakers first as rear ones will just get drown out by the sub anyway

They definitely add depth, but for improving the sound quality first he'll need components. Saving the pennies for a decent 4/5 channel amp after buying the components would be the best move for me, then a sub then, if you really must, a decent set of coaxials. The trick is to buy all speakers of a similar level so that they all perform the same, nowt worse than having unbalanced speakers.
BulletMagnet
Main benefit would be replacing the factory amp. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73153-mould-on-speakers/ Hope this helps

OV53
Mate....already spent a couple of hours last night pricing up a system for Fluke and it's got me wanting to rip my current system out and start again. There's nowt wrong with my current one, probably about a grand's worth at present, but just shopping for other people gives me itchy feet! Check out the Morel Elate components, or Pioneer ODR. If I won the lottery then this would be my bag!

spursmaddave
Not really worth spending silly money on a Zed system though as there is so much road noise, even if you put sound deadening in it is not great Sent from the golf club...
