350z_Dan88
Have many people on here put there own sub in the place of the Bose on, the Bose one that was in when bought the car had a mind of it's own kept going on and off, took the panel off to find it was tiny a right pathetic looking thing...I thought Bose were meant to be the bees knees!! So now I want to put my own sub in it's place and wire my amp up to it from the compartment behind passenger seat...what have you guys on here done? coldel
It was a Bose from nearly ten years ago - and I would have thought in the interests in trimming costs they went for a bit of a lean one. I had the standard one in my Zed and sufficed nicely for what I wanted.
GMballistic
A lot of members have upgraded their sound systems and subs. Here's just one of them I know of; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82012-zubys-zed/ I might do it one day but for now I'm all about the performance upgrades, anyway I'm deaf enough without making the Bose system any louder with my Pioneer head unit.

BulletMagnet
If you want to take out the effort of building a bass box, you can always get a bazooka tube
spursmaddave
A hampster with a drum in a tin can would sound better than the 'Bose' sub Sent from the golf club...

Not a personal fan of the hamster with a drum in a tin can sound, I much prefer a a hamster with a trombone in a tin can sound

ostego
If you want to stop your bose sub from cutting in and out in the meantime, then this should sort you out worked great and only takes 10 minutes. Even with the sub working though it is still shite
