Hudson
I have fitted the above unit in my 350Z but the volume is about half as loud as the standard bose stereo. I have read up on here about it and seen the mod of cutting the rca ends off and joining to the speaker cables but wondered if there was an easier solution? If not is there a guide showing which colour speaker wires are for which side and front and back joined to the rca leads? Thanks in advance Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk Edited February 19, 2014 by Hudson
EvansJD2112
I have the same headunit and have no issues. No need to do the wire-splice mod. In the settings, you can boost the input signal by adjusting the source levels Page 54 in the manual http://docs.pioneer.eu/Manuals/AVH_X3500DAB_CRB4082_manual/GetPDF.ashx

Hudson
Yeah did that but when volume is around 30 it's still not as loud as the Bose and starts to distort Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hudson
Where did you get that from mate? How easy was it to fit?
EvansJD2112
Aerial was from here http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_DBA-5001_DAB_car_aerial.html Fitting was much easier than I expected. You need to remove the internal plastic trim from the boot to get to the back of the FM aerial and then it simply u screws. Fitted the new one and ran wire to headunit. Full signal straight away and never had any burble since. One thing to note. If you have the factory satnav, you'll lose TMC as it uses the FM aerial. I didn't realise this when fitting and took me a while to realise. No great loss though.
