Pierscoe1
Hi all, So I'm going to be getting the wheel re-trimmed (found via another thread on here) in alcantara & leather, and get a gear gaiter, and hopefully handbrake handle done in alcantara at the same time... Of course to go the whole hog, a new gearknob is required too... Anybody know of good suppliers? who's tried/fitted what to their cars? got any pics to post up? is fitment more-or-less universal? Current favourites (as examples) are... Porsche GT3 alcantara style Honda Alu Ball style Edited February 15, 2014 by Pierscoe1

Pierscoe1
like the momo one... presume that's a universal-fit one... did it come with adapters for different threads etc, or just screw straight on? Just found this which I quite like the look of: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Richbrook-Satin-Ttitanium-Push-Down-Standard-Reverse-Car-Gear-Stick-Shift-Knob-/281166779040
Stutopia
IIRC it came with a few different sized rubber bits that you can insert in the ball (ooh err ) once you picked the nearest sized one. Then jam it in the ball recess and screw it on. Mine's been on a few months now, spirited drives included, rock solid. A few places do them, so google around. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/gear-knobs Just be careful to use some mole grips on the stick when you try and unscrew/screw your knob, you really don't want to twist it hard and risk damage. There's a guide or two if you have a little look around. I'm sure one or more of the traders on here can help, think I got my first one from Steve @ Redline. Also, if memory serves, someone even manufactures their own with cool Zed related etchings. Edited February 15, 2014 by SuperStu
Tinyflier
Fitted perforated leather MOMO recently (see my build thread). As said above use one of the rubber sleeves and the knob itself is fitted using three grub screws (supplied). Suggest you put a few turns of electrical tape on shaft as it gives the grub screws something to "dig in" to. David
Pierscoe1
anybody know of a UK supplier of these by any chance? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISMO-DURACON-PLASTIC-SHIFT-KNOB-SKYLINE-GTR-SILVIA-GTiR-180SX-6-SPEED-BLACK-/161207797325

KyleR
Any model specific knobs probably won't fit, ie type R, GT3 etc, but most if not all aftermarket knobs will fit, most are unthreaded and are held on with grub screws.

My car has 117K on so the knob is a little worn. Also I don't like the feel of it or shape in general. ianphampton
My son made me one of these, but then made a couple of spares. The silver ones are in 6082 aluminium - shiny one is highly polished and then anodised, the dull silver is just hard anodised. The white one is in Nylon. PM me if you're interested -
