Blacked out lights Or Honeycomb stuff advice

Hi all

I have a Gunmetal Zed with black badges and thought it would look good to have black/smoked lights all round. I don't really want to take them apart to spray ,so does anyone know a UK seller that sells the standard lights in black.

Also does anyone know about the honeycomb stuff that people put over there lights. Looks quite good from a small distance and I recon this option is cheaper then new lights

Any pics will help too :)

Thanks

I too am looking to tint my headlights. Have done for ages, and a while back I did buy some tinting film, but it had a hint of purple :(

The honeycomb stuff you mean is called 'flyeyes' or 'spi vision'.

Used it before on a previous car, very easy to apply, very cheap but does reduce light output quite a bit.

Thanks guys, I think the best ones are the standard lights sprayed inside. All the ones I find on the internet for the front don't work if you have standard HIDs. They all seem to be for the zed that come without HID's for JDM, USA etc

I tried flyeyes before and wasn't all that impressed. Been contemplating painting the insides or using a tint film. Let us know what you go for!

MoT fail. Anything that reduces the light output is a fail.

Although some people have reported on here them getting through - I wonder if the MoT tester was their drinking buddy or something though!

+1 on most of the above. My better half had Fly-eye on the rear lights of her Evo - looked really cheap & crap from any distance. We now have some good quality tint film and they look far better. Buy cheap, buy twice etc etc.
