tomdotc
My oil gauge is on 120 all the time, even without the engine on. It remains the same with the engine on and does not change at idle or at different speeds/rpms. The car itself runs fine, no strange noises and has been a lot of fun so far. I've been told it could be the oil pressure sending unit but wanted to hear other peoples opinions and if anyone has come across this before. Some say it's common, others say it isn't. Help a brother out!
ZMANALEX
It will either be the gauge, sender unit or the wiring has went to ground. Disconnect the wire from the sender unit and check the gauge position. Then take the wire to earth and recheck the gauge. If the gauge drops to zero with the wire disconnected and jumps to 120 once earthed, then the sender is faulty. Alex.
