Steel Lynx
Good start Daniel, not sure I've seen white carbon fibre before.
Danielodger
Yer i done it all red i have this idea that makes them look better later on and yer its a bit different i like it more than the standard black plastic stuff
mattross1313
Did you do the red rear lights just with some tinting film? or is there more to it than that? I ordered some red film from eBay last week and hopefully it will look similar to yours - just hope the indicator shines through orange(ish)
WhackyWill
That's a good start Danie. Keep it up.
Danielodger
Yer was done with film had to take the back bumper off to get them off to do it properly and mine don't shine orange when indicating they just shines out red its still bright and noticeable but depends on the film you use i suppose as well
KyleR
Surely having a red indicator is an MOT failure?
AliveBoy
Put a green bulb in and it will shine through the red as orange
cmck13
Lateral thinking at its best, I like the green bulb.
KyleR
I thought green and red made yellow? Close enough though.
AliveBoy
I thought green and red made yellow? Close enough though. With light it's difficult as the shades affect it loads. It's what Peugeot and audi do for their red rear lights. There's a green filter just behind the red light casing.
hensh65
Do you actually need to take the bumper off to get to them? I thought you can reach them by taking out the lights :S

Interesting Hensh - I think you can change the bulbs witht he rears out, but to remove the unit it's bumper off, or at least mostly off.
GIXXERUK
I would seriously reconsider the red, that could invalidate your insurance if you're involved in an accident
Danielodger
Its just a film if worst cone to it i can peel it right off and its not a dim out put its just not orange any more this is with the light on during the day as well people should be able to see it Edited February 7, 2014 by Danielodger
mattross1313
My tint film arrived in the post today, I've offered it up and it looks similar output to yours. Will have a go at fitting it next week. If it is indeed too dim/red I might look at some orange LEDs, maybe the brighter/more focused light will help distinguish them as indicators. I think you are right, my clip broke on the drivers side so it was loose but when I got the new ones in I got them swapped at the same time as I got my new rear bumper.
