SiriusProjects
Hi Guys, I have today taken delivery of a second hand centre console and gear stick surround for my 350Z. I'm wanting to try my hand at painting/respraying it and would like some advice on the best way to go about it. Would I be right in thinking that because it is textured, I would have to sand it smooth before applying the primer, etc and can I use standard spray can primers and colours? In addition, I'd like to remove the Sat Nav unit as I'm not a Sat Nav person and would prefer to use the Cubby hole for storage. Is it easy to remove? Hope you can help. Thanks. Jay
I would lightly sand the console and build up the primer to create a smooth effect. You should be able to use normal aerosols. I wrapped my console back in the day lol
Spatt
buy some "hi fill plastic primer" it sands back great... couldn't recommend it enough especialy if your going to 'scuff up' the surface first should be great for covering the texture your talking about too!
