delz0r
Stunning car.....mine is similar but with alezan trim, and not as clean lol...my wheels need a refurb, and yours look perfect...what finish is that? I don't have much details on the refurb colour. I basically said "slightly brighter than OEM and with more metallic flake". They were fully stripped then powder coated. The finish is really solid, previously they had been badly refurbed and the paint was falling off.
mrjones350
Took the car 2 glasgow wheel centre 2day and the guy said he couldn't get the original finish...10/10 for honesty, but I'm no further forward:( Guess you got yours done in Ireland, which, incidentally is where I bought my car in march...now that I know they're powder coated, I may go back 2 GWC. ..a friend used spit and polish on jag xkr wheels and they were perfect, so that may be the best option, but id prefer somewhere more local

GMballistic
Looking very good still & some nice little extras, ...if you're under the bonnet as much as I tend to be then those bonnet struts are well worth the money.

Yeah they're a must have, very easy to fit too. One of my favorite additions.

Spatt
Im going to be completely honest and say I have never liked silver / gunmetal on cars but this one looks amazing! You can see the depth in the paint really well! Looking very very nice!
Spatt
How many layers of vics are on that?
delz0r
How many layers of vics are on that? Thanks Spatt. I have to say it's all down to the polishing, the wax is just the cherry on top. I've since stopped using vics and have been experimenting with more expensive waxes. The pic with the bonnet open is BMD Taurus wax- I'm quite liking it, it's a winter wax. My new favourite summer/show waxes are Definitive Wax Show Edition and Zymol Concours. There's nothing wrong with the vics waxes though, they're great. Cal
The colour looks amazing, great detail work, is twilight grey really that much nicer than gun metal grey?

I'm not sure, I haven't had a chance to compare them side by side. I think the difference is quite subtle.
