corbsy
Hey guys, Today, I decided enough was enough! I've been using a bluetooth FM transmitter to listen to music and the quality isn't the best. My CD player decided to stop playing CDs so I took it completely apart today to clean the lens. However, upon doing so, I accidentally loosened where the CD's stack and I had to put it back together. Small problem, only the first disc space now works; it won't load any other discs. I don't suppose anyone has a diagram showing how to install this? I could play about with it but I'd be there a while! Cheers, Corbsy
ZEUS
Did you put all the tiny springs back in the 6 cd stack. I did the same thing when I cleaned the lense and it took bloody ages to find and relocate the springs !
corbsy
Yeah I put all the tiny springs back in. I believe there are 3? There are several different trays for the CDs, how did you put them back?

corbsy
Ok, I have now fixed it :-) Working CD player, plays all 6 discs and no more skipping...that is until the cold gets to it! Booo!
Kevan
Hi, I've just read your thread and wonder if you cleaned the 'lens' as the cd's skipped? I bought a 350Z last Nov and all 6 cd's skip. Will a 'fluffy' cd lens cleaner fix the problem as I must admit, I don't fancy taking it apart? Cheers Kev
Zhorno
Cost £1 on eBay worth a try Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
corbsy
The CDs wouldn't even play, Kevan. It still skips when it's cold but that's normal. Anyway, you could buy one of those CDs which you state but if its condensation on the lens, it won't be a permanent fix.
Kevan
Yes mine plays ok after a while. So it's a 'characteristic' of the Bose system, cd's skipping?
corbsy
Yeah especially in the cold. It won't do it during the summer :-) well, at least it didn't for me.
