oderuyter
Hey Fonts of Knowledge, I just replaced the motor on my passenger side 2004 Zed - managed to just get it donw before the rain hit! However just found a problem - When I wind the window up when the door is closed, then open the door the top of the window just caches on the insde of the roof, so cant cleanly open the door. Although the motor auto bring it down a bit after, its just a bit out of sync. When the rain has stooped i will sup[ply a video, but any clues for now? Many Thanks! Keyser
Window reset procedure - there are 2 - search is your friend But here are 2 I pinched for you - My passenger window isn't dropping when you open/close the door, so I'm continually asking passengers to close the door gently. Is it likely that I'll need to follow the guide to clean the motor brushes ? (the window goes up/down perfectly) And if I'm being super lazy, any thoughts on how much it should cost to have done at one of the garages ? (approximately) Might just need the reset procedure - pinched from Steve's guide (and you need to remove the door card): "Wind window up right to the top without using the auto feature. Press and hold the motor reset switch located under the motor behind one of the stick on pads Lower the window to the very bottom, do not use the auto feature Release the reset switch Wind the window back to the top, do not use the auto feature" another method posted ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REMOVING BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL : Special Repair Requirement INFOID:0000000004460995 INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect battery negative terminal or power window switch connector. Reconnect it after a minute or more. 2. Door switch is OFF (close). 3. Turn ignition switch ON. 4. Operate power window switch to fully open the window. (This operation is unnecessary if the window is already fully open.) 5. Continue pulling the power window switch AUTO-UP. Even after glass stops at the fully closed position, keep pulling the switch for 3 seconds or more. 6. Initializing procedure is completed. Hope it helps Edited February 1, 2014 by Keyser
