Another newcomer

Hi

My first post but many thanks to everyone contributing to the endless threads that have provided me with a crash course in what to look for, avoid, expect etc.

I first saw a 350 in the flesh 10 years ago (when I went to get some work done on a Primera diesel) and have kept looking but doing nothing about it since then!

However, collecting an 08 on Saturday and looking forward to the 200 mile drive back home.

Mixture of anticipation and nervousness: what if I don't like it??

You will love it im sure but if your already asking that question then perhaps a test drive in one before would of been a good idea ;)

Rude of me not to update after welcome messages so try to put that right!

I had looked at an 06 facelift as well as the 08 HR I eventually collected 01 Feb and have since done just under 1k in one trip of 200 miles, another of 500 plus some "running around".

I wasn't sufficiently Zed-savvy to fully understand the power and cosmetic differences between the 06 and 08 so I stretched the budget to get the later car simply because it seemed smoother in a road-test and I preferred the cabin.

Where I did come unstuck was in viewing the car in the rain, which caused me to miss a couple of minor bonnet scratches and lots of front bumper stone chips. Happily, they have now been sorted out and while I know it will not be news to anyone here, this 350Z newcomer has begun to realise it's a very impressive car.

What I expected was a car that looked good and went well, so no disappointments on that front but I've been very pleasantly surprised by how well it handles. I realise this probably means I'm not trying hard enough :teeth: but given the weight of the Zed plus the budget tyres I've inherited it's been very reassuring to find quite how well it deals with twisty B roads.

Anyway, thanks for your welcome.....need to get driving it some more!
