88sam88
Hi all, Was wondering if anyone knows If a new y pipe would make any difference to the tone of a aftermarket exhaust ? Also, I know most/all are made of like t304 stainless steel, so what differences are there with all these different y pipes out there ? Thank you for any advice
MITZ@CougarStore
It won't alter the sound by much but it will be less restrictive than the OEM Y...
Darren350
I had a replacement Y pipe made up by Infinity after a speed bump shredded both flexi joints. There's has 1 flexi on the straight section as opposed to 2 on the angled sections. Makes no difference at all lol I thought some people made a derestricted version though that gives off a bit more noise? Either way compared to sports cats or de cats or replacement exhausts in total noise wise they can't make much of a difference. Maybe lol
