New Member looking for Z information.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm Dom from Newcastle Upon Tyne, I'm 19 years old and looking at a 350z. It will be being bought in the next few months as my insurance drops to an unbelievable price when I turn 20 so can't pass up the opportunity to own a Z.

Basically, I want to spend around the 6.5k mark on a Z in alright condition with not a massive amount of miles on it. I could stretch it a bit but want to stick to my guns as much as possible.

Does anyone know of any Zs for sale for the money I'm looking to spend or will I have to push my budget a bit higher?

Any other information I should know about Zs before I buy one? I.e common faults etc?

Cheers!

Dom

Thanks for your help, i've had a look at the for sale section and seems to be a decent range of cars within my budget.

I'm not sure what to think of this but i've been quoted £1,350 fully comp by my insurance company. How does that sound seeing as i'll only be 20 when I buy?

Hi guys, I'm also new to the forum, having bought a 350z a month ago. What a car. Just a quick one regarding fuel, can anyone tell me what they feel is the best fuel for the car? I've only had to fill her up once, used Tesco Momentum but after reading around, I'm not too sure that that's the best one. I'm pretty local to all main supermarket garages and also Shell, Esso and Texaco. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

That sounds about right. Mine was £1,200 at 21 with 3 points (SP30) now its £850 at 22.

With e46 M3's and Evo's around the £2/3k mark, the zed is a cheap car to insure for young drivers. Its a choice you wont regret ;)

Definitely worth shopping around for insurance quotes ~ try the insurers on here, Go-compare etc and I'd even try ringing a few who aren't on the comparison sites.

You can also play around with the insurance quote on comparison website's which does help give you an idea of what might help bring down your quote. E.g: include an older relative (Mum/Dad) as a named driver, reduce your annual mileage, increase your excess, garage the car at night etc.

Doesn't sound like that higher quote though tbh for a younger driver. ;)
