SteveW
Quickie for someone, hopefully. I managed to shear a cat to Y stud at the weekend. The stud is badly corroded, does anyone know if they are press in or screw in studs? Don't want to start hammering if it's a threaded stud. Cheers Steve
firemansim
On mine they were bolts. All broke, so I ground the heads of and they fell out.
350 Russ
If you can't get it out then drill it out and replace with a bolt
KyleR
If the bolts have perished, I hope the cat and y pipe flanges aren't the same!
marzman
If you can't get it out then drill it out and replace with a bolt This. I think you can heat them and then bank them out with a hammer, and then just replace with a standard bolt.
SteveW
Thanks. Yeah replacing with a bolt is the plan, I'll get some heat into it then try bashing it out before drilling. Hate drilling bolts out! Y pipe flanges are ok as stainless, will see if the Cat flanges are soon.
