14N
I figured my old Airbox needed a nice warm engine bay to live in, instead of a cold damp shed. As you can see, I've modified it I have cut holes on the underside and right hand side of the Airbox (so no holes face the engine). I did this as a crude attempt at gaining some induction noise. And hey, it worked. It was fitted to my car for several 1000's of miles before I got lucky and nabbed a pop charger from a forum member. It is a pre velocity stack upgrade version from my 2004 car and no filter is included. When fitted to the car, none of the holes can be seen and it still looks totally OEM. It doesn't make a huge difference in noise, but neither does the JWT charger really. When I did fit my pop charger, I was a little disappointed, but I think that was because I was used to the sound this Airbox made - in a nutshell, it's a similar noise. £45 delivered anyone? Or I can bring it to Wales in May for £30. Ian

14N
Bump Anyone want a standard airbox with lots of holes in it? How about if I market it as a '14N Popcharger'? See, you want it now dontcha.
peteman35
Did this last weekend, the noise is now epic. Be good to hear it compared to a pop charger as i don't think it can get much louder Well worth the money if you don't have the tools for the job

See, you want it now dontcha. But it needs to be "trademark" orange As we all know Graham, painting anything orange under the bonnet gives an increase in the region of 80-90bhp at the rear wheels. This is being sold as a modification to increase induction noise, no documented records exist for the huge increases an orange Airbox would give and I'm simply not sure we're ready for that kind of performance on UK roads. The safe option would be to paint it blue and silver
