Jacr877 Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Well guys was driving home tonight and the ecu light came on. 😮 So when I got home I did the infamous pedal dance and it threw up the fault code 0420 - two way catalyst system bank 1. Did the reset and it cleared the light however I'm concerned that this will more likely happen again. I know my z has a borla exhaust system and the person I bought it from stated that it has high flow cats on it also. I would imagine the car has not been mapped so is this just a standard error for z's with this modifications? Sam Mcgoo Posted January 13, 2014 Share Posted January 13, 2014 Yeah, it's more than likely that the HFC are causing it to come on. It is often worse in colder weather/winter. See how often it comes on and see if it seems to be on colder days. You can keep reseting it, you could fit o2 spacers from zmanalex, which makes it happen a lot less.
