gareth29
Just wondered if anyone had renewed the seals inside a master cylinder before? VW manual says replace the whole thing, but I can get a repair kit from Bigg Red on ebay for £16 (the complete unit from VW is £180) Any advice? gareth29
Tried them - no joy - just assumed nissan master cylinders would be similar to vw
Mopedmark
I don't know the configuration of it but generally they are not that hard to do, you would normally emerge the the new seals in brake fluid when you replace but take your time
gareth29
Had a look today - the reservoir is hidden behind the engine. Anyway there was no fluid in it and there turns out to be a big hole in at least one pipe hidden up above the exhaust heat shield - one of the more protected sections you would have thought. Sorry to waste anyone's time
