Trev-the-Rev
If money is not an option, then go for the Michelins. Oh and by the way.

Mathys
Tyres, are they for the 18" rays? I'd advise Michelin Pilot Sport 2, although Toyo's might be almost as good and cheaper. However, the michelins probably last longer. For the brakepads and discs, bigphil will join in shortly I guess... He has some nice DBA discs and Ferodo pads. This would be a good combination for a good price. If I needed to replace my clutch, I'd get the ACT heavy duty clutch with the prolight or streetlight flywheel. This combination is 900$ in the US, don't know about local prices in the UK.

Lugger
Forgive a naïve question if you will, but I only need to replace my fronts. Is this a good idea or is it better to do the whole set at the same time with the same type/manufacturer of pads?

Is this a good idea or is it better to do the whole set at the same time with the same type/manufacturer of pads? It is advisable to keep the pad material all the same from a performance point of view, however the standard pad is a Ferodo material albeit a lesser grade and you can get away with just changing the fronts. You will still see a marked improvement as the fronts do most of the work.
