oOo csmith oOo
Hey guys, Was driving home from work last week and the CEL popped up 😔 car is a 2003 import After the light came up I noticed when I was stuck in traffic the idle speed was going from just under 700rpm then dropping below 500 then jumping back up! It feels like it's going to stall itself!!! Which it did last night, I was driving around went to change from 2nd to 3rd and as I dumped the clutch the revs just dropped and it stalled, started it back up drove off and it was fine I've tried disconnecting the battery for 10+mins but the light still comes up, also tried the pedal dance but I can't seem to do it 😔 If anyone has any ideas what the problem could be help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Craig
ZEUS
Don't you need to disconnect the battery for 12+ hours to reset it that way? I can't fathom the pedal dance either
GMballistic
Craig if the car isn't driving right and the CEL has flashed up then I'd get the code read & it looked at by a garage just to be safe. The CEL pop's up very occasionally for me because of my HFC's and not had it mapped yet. The pedal dance does work but it can be tricky to get right ~ first three times I tried to do it using a clock (with seconds hand) but I couldn't get it to work. Then one day I just decided to count in my head whilst I did the dance & it worked first time. Try doing the dance again if you still want to just clear the light and let us know how you get on. oOo csmith oOo
Thanks for the quick replies guys, I forgot to mention I am running decats but with the co2 spacers. Had them on the car over a year and never had the light come up I'll try the pedal trick again until I get it right 😄
GMballistic
Just remember when you are doing step 2a & 2b that you don't have to do them one a second ~ just five times within five seconds. Think that's where I went wrong at first. Good luck. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/53148-how-to-ecu-accelerator-pedal-throttle-valve-resets/
