chirag1988
I'm looking to add amber footwell lights to my Z and want them to come on with my sidelights. In my other car it was simple to wire it straight into the switch but I'm not sure where to wire it in with the Z. Has anyone done this before and if so is there a guide? GMballistic
Sure I've seen a member just recently who had done this?! ...but wouldn't you want it to turn on when your interior lights do (eg when you open the door/unlock the car) rather than them to be on continuously with your sidelights? chirag1988
That's how I used to have them in my polo, a dim glow at night when I have my lights on. I was thinking of having them just come on and off with the doors but I'd prefer them to be on all the time with sidelights
buster
added a switch to my set up so I can turn them off a night whilst driving.Used the led strip lighting and wired into the 12v power socket via the switch for use,
Ricey
Husky did it before he was put down. Fairly easy I think but then he was an electrically savvy dog.
GIXXERUK
I did this with my 350 but linked into the interior lights You just either take a wire to the sidelights or to the sidelight fuse

How can I access the 12v power socket to feed off its power?

marzman
My JDM 350z had this as standard, with a button to control the brightness in the centre cubby.

I don't have a cigarette lighter socket where my heated seat switches are. I've got a cigarette lighter socket by the passenger footwell but haven't tried to see what access is like. Just thinking what would be easier, linking straight into sidelights or via its own switch?
