Lyger
I took a wise decision to take my 2002 350z off the road this winter as it needs bits of body work doing, and the brakes and the broken door lock (Works fine with the remote but not with the key!!) Ive been running the car for an hour or so every couple of weeks to stop things seizing up and to keep the battery topped up, however today it seems the battery has died and i cannot open the doors, the manual lock doesnt work the plastic clip holding the arm has snapped so as you turn the key in the lock it just rattles about. Is there any way i can get the door open without breaking the window ? Thanks

If you can get the bonnet open you can charge the battery or run a set of jump leads to it..?. sure somebody will be along with the answer.. leonk
The only thing I can think of is trying to find something that would normally be a permanent live like the starter solenoid and power it up from there. I.e from under the car?
marzman
Jack it up, front under tray off, and you may be able to reach the bonnet catch and manually release it?

Lyger
I thought i might be able to feed a tape measure with a hook on it to grab the door release but it was worse than trying to get a teddy out of those grabber machines at the fair. If i could get the bonnet up i could charge the battery and open the doors , um my jack is in the car. anyway of popping this from the front and if i did this from the underneath how do i release it? Its a pity there isnt an emergency charging point underneath somewhere.

AliveBoy
call out a locksmith, they will stick an airbag in between the glass and the window frame and then inflate it, this will crate a gap big enough for them to reach through with a tool and unlock the door then open it. or get down to Wickes and buy one of these, it's known in the industry as a professional window opener: Edited December 30, 2013 by AliveBoy
GMballistic
If you google "how to break into a 350z" Lyger there are quite a few threads/solutions depending on what people have done to lock themselves out of the car. This is just one I found on www.350zTech.com; i locked mine in once and when I had the locksmith come I realized how easy it was and that it is not worth it to lock the 350Z, all he did was pry the window slightly back where the front pillar meets the roof, put a wooden wedge to hold it and stuck a wire or rod down to hit the unlock button and done. Hope you get it sorted either way. Good luck.

WhackyWill
Get a slightly under size socket and bash it onto the locking wheel nut and gently ease it off.
