nowhereboy
Just posting this on behalf of someone I work with, their diesel car sounds like it's struggling/revving too high yet the rpm is still low, it's also going through fuel quickly. Any ideas what could be wrong?

StevoD
is it still boosting?
a2orry
I would look at the egr valve .dont think they had dpf's as early as 2004 .
Pete87
no vw's and audi's didnt have dpf filters till around 06-07 plus the boras have the old 1.9 tdi's in them so they def wont have a dpf filter. I had a problem with my inlet flap which is a common problem on the vw group cars also as said abouve possibly the egr?
Dblock
Clogged DPF is my bet. No way would an 04 tdi have a dpf. I would say EGR clean and maf clean. Is it the 1.9 I assume? Check if its boosting properly and check for boost leaks. Boost leak is very possible.
