88sam88
Hi, I read that using Meg's polish is useful to restore the clarity of headlights for zeds .. Wondering if anyone else uses this or do others use a specific kit, etc?

BulletMagnet
Does it come with any UV Protectant to apply after you've used the restorer? No it doesn't, but a coat of GTechnic C4 will do
hensh65
Meg polish will only work if they aren't that bad, if they are cloudy and yellow then you will need ot get a headlight kit

14N
Loads of different (and interesting) ways of doing this - I was watching the videos on YouTube the oother day. Many use toothpaste, some use sandpaper followed by a coat of lacquer, others just use abrasive polish/cutting compound finished with a coat of wax. Or you can buy the stuff suggested above
wmr1980
I did something similar but I did it by hand! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76054-managed-to-get-that-fogging-off-my-headlights-with-a-little-elbow-grease/page__hl__%2Belbow+%2Bgrease
Vlad
I did use megs restore kit - with that drill bit it made it really easy and done a great job! "Clear-carbon" stuff is works really well as UV sealant as well http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/79235-clear-carbon-dedicated-carbon-fibre-polish-and-protection/#entry1177508
fairladyz2013
Just out of interest, I've seen those headlight restore kits such as turtle wax and they use sandpaper.... would this now scratch up the headlights? :/
SamN
I just machine polished mine and they came up nicely. Forgotten what I used now but it was just car polish
BulletMagnet
Just out of interest, I've seen those headlight restore kits such as turtle wax and they use sandpaper.... would this now scratch up the headlights? :/ yes it will, and that's exactly the point. You can use 2000 grit and then rubbing compound and then the restore kit if headlamps are seriously clouded up Edited December 14, 2013 by BulletMagnet
Vlad
^^ that! When I used it on my headlights - I didn't use sand paper provided as mine serpents to bad! But mystery came and hid headlights were pretty bad, so we used sandpaper and then polished it - came out great
