BillyZed
To remove the gear knob twist it counter clockwise and unscrew, might be a bit stiff if it hasn't been removed before
14N
Whoa! Stop! You need to hold the shaft (ooer) before twisting the knob (ooer again). I'll find you a guide.... EDIT: This should do: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/how-to-replace-the-oem-shift-knob-with-an-aftermarket-shift-knob-nissan-350z.html Edited December 10, 2013 by 14N
Grundy
Get some molegrips on the Rubber piece you see in the centre of the picture. Then keep the grips still, and twist gear knob with your hand

R35LEE
Some of them come off relatively easy and some destroy the gearknob getting them off. I have had 2 that felt like they were welded on Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Easty
I pulled my knob off really easily and then had to really put to pressure to change it to a small metal one haha Only problem is it's a bit cold when you grasp it first thing in the morning!!!
