onthatB0MBSHELL
What caused the failure? Yes, what caused this? Think we all would like to know. Hope you get it sorted, nightmare to have happened, never mind only weeks into ownership.

Dynamic Turtle
Sorry to hear that but you are now a member of the very exclusive "1% club" who have managed to destroy a NA VQ35. Apparently it takes some doing... Over on Cayman-UK.com it's called the "99% club".
SamN
Sorry to hear, hope you get it sorted for a reasonable price! Note to self: check oil when I get home... I check it quite regularly anyway but the dipstick isn't the easiest to read on the Zed! Edited December 9, 2013 by SamN
mbw100
Yep, recommend zmanalex; he sorted me out when my HR went pop. And Abbey for the fitting. Cost me £4k all in to get engine changed over. Block from Alex which had done 20k miles, all ancillaries off the old one stripped off old engine, fitted to new block and fitted by Abbey. Cause of blow up; low oil.... now check weekly! Whats the best way to check it? every time i pull it out it gets shaken about and the reading is messed up so annoying man! That's what I mean. I just have to do it a couple of times to get a slightly more accurate reading. There's still always oil all up the dipstick though!
timmytuck
I checked my oil every week changed it every 6 months with the good stuff ,supper unleaded petrol ,and one day it started to smoke like a diesel , spent £3 k on a rebuild , it's now in the garage until after xmas, until I save for some petrol to put in it . Justthejedi
Shouldn't the oil light come on if the oil level is low anyway?
Dblock
Shouldn't the oil light come on if the oil level is low anyway? The oil light pretty much means the engine is about to die.
