R35LEE
Eibach lowering springs make a massive difference for starters
BillyZed
To make the most dramatic difference in these I would strip weight as they are very very heavy! Just depends if you like to be comfy or not
Desey
To make the most dramatic difference in these I would strip weight as they are very very heavy! Just depends if you like to be comfy or not Yep. Its gonna be real hard getting more than 30bhp, and thats gonna cost you towards 1k, best performance mods ive done are coilovers, weight stripping and rigidity. oh and get urself a race seat and race wheel, always reminded of their awesomeness because your always sitting in it and your hands are always on the wheel
BillyZed
I believe H-Dev have a weight striping thread and lost a lot! That's where the gains are to be had
wmr1980
I don't think the Zed needs to be lowered - I certainly wouldn't want it any stiffer either. However, improving the current setup to suit your needs is always good - however I agreed braided brake lines and new pads are never going to do you any harm. docwra
Ive just got coilovers and decent tyres and then tweaked the alignment a bit, made a world of difference though. Braided brake lines are very worthwhile as well An exhaust and induction are a good shout too, the engine makes nice noises but you wouldnt know from standard ...........
Binkeygooner
Hi there Everyone, My name`s Andy, just joined your website, Had my Zed for about a year now, Do i have to upgrade to upload photo`s as i`ve only 2MB of space and would love to show you my baby, i`m upgrading my exhaust system as we speak, at the back i`ve fitted a japspeed Y pipe connected to a Cobta mid section and Berk Hi Flow Cats, they all fitted together no problem, AND THE SOUND !!! WOW !!!, it sounded lovely with just the Japspeed Y pipe but as soon as i fitted the Berk HFC`s you get an amazing bark at about 3500 RPM, i`ve got a Hi performance exhaust manifold to fit but there a real bugger to fit, ( you have to raise the engine to replace them ) and remove all the coolant pipes, since i`m starting to bling my engine bay i`m replacing them with all new blue silicone pipes so i`ll do that all in one go. i`ve fitted a K&N Typhoon induction system which in hindsight i think was a mistake so i`d like some advice on the best one to fit please. i`m also want to fit a Kinetix inlet manifold as they look amazing and increase air capacity as well as balance air flow to all pots, but i`d like to ask if anyone knows if i can buy them from an English distributer as the postage and import dutys from America are astronomical. Eventually i want to get a Vortex SC so Would the Kinetix inlet manifold still be compatible as i don`t want to waste money buying something i have to remove later. after all that i`ll get it re-mapped but i`ve been warned to be careful of where i get this done as your need a specialist with a roling road to get the best results. i live in the southwest ( Torquay ) so somewhere close would be good. and i`d be grateful of any other advice you could give. Thanks, Andy Edited December 15, 2013 by Binkeygooner

Jixaman
Theres so many things to do / change depending on what you'r looking for but in making the driving package better, my 2 cents... Upgrade the brakes... Then you can slow down when you get to the corner... Upgrade the suspension... So you can go round the corner... Then look at more power... So you can... Well, you know this bit... Inbetween all this comes things to change the looks both inside and out and things of a more practical nature as well as servicing... Even the first thing gives great satisfaction... Going into the hairpin at Knockhill in ma old MG TF with the 304mm AP setup with 911's who are overtaking suddenly going into reverse put a smile on the face... Only to have them blast past on the run up the hill... You'r never going to be the fastest / fastest all the time so its all about enjoying what you'r doing, start with the things that matter and learn to drive the car (not being rude, you'r always learning), do trackdays / courses to learn how to deal with the unexpected... Oh and above all, have fun...

Ceejay29
How did you get on Alcran?
Alcran
Cars still in, had a slight issue, before i had the car it had been living next to the seaside. the bottom of the car looked terrible. So i had the guys strip the entire underbody of rust and reseal it all. which is almost done So I (fingers crossed) should have it tomorrow, However i will have to get the upreve next month now as i had to use a large portion of my budget on the cleanup Alc
