Mike46
Hammer, Dremel or C4 Well I hope I dont need any of those! Mind you, the lower centre console is ashtray out, undo screw, pop off gear surround, undo two screws, put bith seat forward, undo one screw each side at rear of console and off it comes. Yeah I have read about how to take the lower centre console out, doesnt seem too bad although i'm not sure how the ashtray comes out? But I was hoping I don't need to remove that just to remove the lid of the compartment at the back?

SamN
Yep removing the console is easy to do, 5 minute job the lid is held in by a few screws one that's off.
